Mists, mellow fruitfulness, and mushrooms
Well, fungi, anyway. These high-rise mushrooms are growing in a partly hollow tree near my home. I can only suppose it's a high-density affordable housing project for pixies. Do you suppose the penthouse suite on the top commands a premium?
This one, by contrast, is evidently a detached mansion for the pixie who's made it big on the bluebell-polishing franchise.

"the bluebell-polishing franchise". Aww, that's so sweet!
Are you going to pick the mushrooms, Carla, or would you prefer not to make the pixies homeless just before winter? :-)
Oh, I wouldn't make the pixies homeless :-) Besides, they probably have lots of nasty ways of getting their own back.
That's an endearing idea about the hgh rise!
Thank you, Bernita. I'm afraid it was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw them!
Hehe, funny funghi. They don't look edible, though, and what's the point in non edible mushrooms. Ask the hobbits. ;)
I will get to your post about Acha tomorrow, when I'm less tired.
Gabriele - They certainly aren't ceps or chanterelles, that's for sure! I can never be sure enough of identification for most fungi to be confident of eating them, which is another good reason not to make the pixies homeless :-)
